Equine Antiques & Collectibles is owned by Fredricka Bliden Olson, whose dad was a mounted soldier in the 101st Cavalry at the start or World War II.

"Practically everyone in the family rode horses ... my Dad, Mom, my grandparents, my aunt. I went in my first little horse show when I was 3, and before that Mom would drive my cousin and me around in an old Governess cart hitched to a wonderful donkey," Freddi said.

Her inherited passion for horses and antiques is evident in the extensive collection housed within the walls of the big red barn that houses her shop.

You'll often find Freddi, as many people call her, set up at antique shows, horse trade shows, horse shows and other related events.

The shop is open by chance or you can call ahead for an appointment. Freddi lives on the premises so call anytime ... the shop inhabits five rooms in her gorgeous 1770's cape, she's always happy to see you.

If you'd like to take your 'horsey' club or group on a tour of the shop, just give Freddi a call in advance and set up a time. It's a fascinating place to visit ... whether you're a Pony Clubber, 4-H member or an adult equestrian group.
